Move-In Day Info
UC has compiled important move-in day information to make your move super smooth!
-
Unloading
- One vehicle per resident will be permitted.
- Residents can temporarily park in the unloading zone.
- Residents can enter through back door by contacting security via the intercom.
- Residents can obtain "speed packs" (giant boxes on wheels) from the security desk to help with unloading your vehicle.
- Once the vehicle is unloaded, it must be moved (or it will be towed at your own expense).
-
Residents and move-in helpers must have a government issued ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport).
- Residents will need an ID for staff to hold onto while using "speed packs". Once the "speed packs" are returned, we will give the ID back.
- Move-in helpers will need an ID to be checked in as a guest for up to 2-hours. We will return the ID after your helper pass has been returned.
-
After visiting the check-in station and unloading the vehicle, the resident and move-in helpers will be directed to their room to begin unpacking.
(Fall Move-In Only):
- Have your Check-In Pass ready and accessible on the dashboard of the vehicle.
- Staff to guide you to an ‘unloading-only’ spot.
- Staff will bring "speed packs" (giant boxes on wheels) to your vehicle so that your move-in helpers can unload while the resident is completing their move-in process.
Drop Off Procedures
When arriving at UC, you can use Holden Court (alleyway located on the right side directly behind the building) from Ida B Wells Drive.
- There is no entrance permitted from Harrison Street.
Vehicles remaining after being unloaded are subject to tow at owner’s expense.
